I counsel individuals working on a range of topics including life-transitions, relationships, emotional wellbeing, sexual wellbeing, gender identity, and recovery from encounters with charismatic con-artists and groups with cult-like features.
When we meet, we will collaborate to determine a shared intention for counseling. Your goals may involve behavior, emotions, and self-awareness. Examples of possible goals include: improving relationships, reducing stress or overwhelming feelings, increasing presence, improving life satisfaction, etc. We will continually evaluate and revise your goals as needed.
My formal education includes a masters degree in psychology from the Counseling Specialization program at Saybrook University as well as a bachelor’s degree from The Evergreen State College, where I studied psychology, social psychology, democratic education, systems thinking, gender studies, and intersectional social and racial justice work. In my master's level internship I focused on providing competent care for trans and non-binary folks and I am currently participating in a year-long sexual health certificate program with Michigan State University School of Social Work. I also participate in cult-recovery focused education including conferences, trainings, and peer consultation. I hold a current license to practice mental health counseling in Washington State.
I am currently offering both telehealth and in person sessions. The Telehealth link is always:
